PhillyCHI is proud to be a part of a unique learning opportunity coming to Philadelphia in July. The Higher Education Web Symposium is a two day conference on usability and user-centered design filled with great content presented by great speakers. It features a keynote from Jared Spool, a full day workshop on CSS with Eric Meyer, and a full day workshop on best practices in form design from Luke Wroblewski, and much more.Â
Topics covered will include AJAX and Web 2.0 technologies, usability testing, CSS, Web form design, content management systems, developing secure applications, SEO, usability, and presentation skills for IT professionals.
The conference is sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania and has a focus on Web practices in higher education, but the topics covered are not especially unique to higher ed. All practitioners will get a lot out of the material.
Best of all, the price of the conference is incredibly low. And PhillyCHI members can sign up for preference in registration. Simply enter ‘PhillyCHI’ in the ‘School’ form field when registering online.
Seats are limited, so sign up today! The first 200 people to sign up will get a chance to win a MacBook Air!
